This month has been interesting:

I received Special Commendation for the Learning Shed design entry in Canada, working with Philip Richards London and Marijan Zelic Toronto.

I curated into an exhibition titled Random Acts of Time by William Morena of LACE Los Angeles for OCCCA in Santa Ana. The Work titled TULLA is a sounds and image projection inversion of a plane landing at Tullamarine Airport, Melbourne, and this work was made with Cameron Robbins and Peter Knight.

Also busy working away on my PHD and developing a few new projects to be announced next time.

Time lapse images of planes landing at Tullamarine, taken with Cameron Robbins. The images reveal the lines of landings lights traced across the night sky. This is a kind of extrusion of light mapping the aircrafts pathway.

Magenta Fold

: Blue Sky Shard

In November 2011, Jon’s two works were installed at the corner of Rudd and Moore Streets Canberra. Comissioned by the Canberra council early in 2010, these two 8 metre folded steel pieces were fabricated in Perth, then transported to Canberra for installation. They sit on opposite corners of the intersection and symbolise the Autumn colours and leaves.
